Ode to Life is a curated selection of artistic expressions featuring live music, storytelling, and intentional moments of reflection.

We collaborate with a diverse group of artists from the greater Seattle area, including local singer-songwriters, Christian worship musicians, spoken-word artists, and nonprofit or business leaders. Hosted by Haven Church Renton, this evening invites a Christian context into meaningful topics that matter to everyone captured by OTL artistic expressions.

OTL Timeline:
  • 6:30pm: Doors Open – Arrive early to claim your seat (first-come-first-served) and connect with others.
  • 7:00pm: Welcome Moment – Our hosts welcome everyone and share the vision for Ode to Life, highlighting our community partners and introducing our specific focus for the night.
  • 7:10pm – 8:45pm: Music & Storytelling – Enjoy a dynamic lineup of musical expressions and moving spoken-word pieces from local people. Moments of pause are offered throughout the night to provide dedicated, unhurried spaces for guided reflection.
  • 8:45pm - 9:00pm: Closing Remarks – Community connection opportunities and invitations to make positive impacts in the greater Seattle area.
Helpful FAQ:
  • Is there food? // We provide a selection of snacks, treats, and drinks offered at a low recommended donation price.
  • Is there childcare? // While we don’t have formal childcare for this event, children are welcome to sit with you. The evening is best suited for adults and teens who can engage in the meaningful topics captured by the evening.
  • Where should I park? // We advise checking for street parking on 3rd street first as it tends to become widely available after 6pm. If you cannot find a spot on 3rd street, we recommend parking at the Renton Transit Center parking garage 2 blocks away from DeLancy's.
  • Looking for community? // If you are looking for a community of people who engage in meaningful topics right here in Renton, Haven Church Renton is excited to connect with you! If you are visiting from a different greater-Seattle neighborhood, we would love to recommend a trusted partner church or organization closer to your home.
  • What if I’m not "religious"? // While this event incorporates a Christian context, including elements like guided prayer and communion, it is crafted to be a comfortable, welcoming space for anyone. Whether you want to participate in the reflection moments or just sit back and appreciate peaceful moments, you are welcome here.
